QUESTION:
what is the best outlet mall in vegas?
I am planning a trip there in aug and want to know wear i can find a good selection of discounted items. i would perfer some plus size stores. I am from canada and not familar with any of the stores in the US any input would be great!!!!!!!!!-
ANSWER:
Here's a list of all of the good malls in Vegas.Several of the large Hotel/casinos have shops that are not open all of the time; they have regular store hours. Places like Caesars' Forum shops, Bellagios, the shops in the Planet Hollywood Hotel Casino all have regular hours, not 24/7.
Then there is Fashion Show Mall, which is like the malls in any city with small stores and large department stores including Macy's and Neiman Marcus, is NOT open 24/7. It opens about 10:00AM and closes about 9:00 PM.
In addition, there is an outlet mall on the Strip just south of the airport called Las Vegas Outlet Center, 7400 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las. You can easily take a bus or taxi there. It is not open 24/7 either. It's open every day but does close to 10:00 PM; I have been there at closing time.
Then there is a mall that people who live in Vegas use on Maryland Parkway, about a mile east of the Strip. Its called the Boulevard Mall and its address is 3528 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV. It has regular mall hours from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Then there is another outlet mall near downtown Las Vegas called Las Vegas Premium Outlets, 875 South Grand Central Parkway. Its also open 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
If you have a car you can drive about 45 miles south of Vegas to the outlet mall in Primm, Nevada which is right on the California/Nevada border. That mall has many stores and name brand outlets. There are also hotels and casinos there and eating places. So its not an isolated area
My recommendation is the outlet mall on the strip, just south of the airport and the one in Primm, Nevada, and the the one downtown on Central Parkway. Better yet, just hit them all.

QUESTION:
Where should I go shopping in Vegas?
So I'm taking a birthday trip to Las Vegas. I really really really want a Gucci bag. Are there any outlets or anywhere in Vegas that I can score a good deal?-
ANSWER:
All of the big hotels in Vegas has high end shops that carry name brand merchandise. The store that you need to look for in places like The Flamingo Hotel/Casino, Caesars Palace Forum Shops, or Bellagio, or even Fashion Show Mall is the Marshall Rousso store (http://www.marshallretailgroup.com/index.asp). It carries fancy handbags; my wife used to buy one (or 2) every time we went to Vegas. Here's a listing of all of the shopping places other than the hotel shops. There is Fashion Show Mall, which is like the malls in any city with small stores and large department stores including Macy's and Neiman Marcus. It opens about 10:00AM and closes about 9:00 PM. (http://www.thefashionshow.com/html/index...

QUESTION:
why is stuff in direct factory outlets cheap?
And also has anyone been to dfo in Brisbane? Is it good? Thanks-
ANSWER:
I may be telling you what you already know but just in case. The deal is that originally outlets were where returns, discontinued lines, out of season stuff ended up and the deals were real. Then the manufacturers caught on that we all love a bargain. Today the major brands including Liz Claiborne companies, Gap companies, Nine West companies, Izod, etc. create lines for the outlets and the fabrics and construction are poorer quality. Some store are literally the same stuff at the same prices (Famous Footwear, Nike, Reebok, any electronics stores). Some companies still use outlets as true outlets they include, JCPenney, Saks Off-Rack, LL Bean, Borders Books, Bombay Furniture, Zappos in Las Vegas US to name a few.
Hope that helps. If you have specific stores in mind there post them and we can see if we recognize it as a place that is "truly" outlet.

The California Hotel is in downtown Las Vegas and the only shopping area I can think of within a 15 minute drive is the Outlet Mall on Centenniel Parkway. This particular Outlet Mall, well it's not really a mall, has all of the brand name.

QUESTION:
Where are the best places to shop in las vegas? Outlets, relatively cheap places but good quality, easy etc?-
ANSWER:
I enjoyed shopping at the Belk Outlet, it now has a new name...However, it is WAY out off the strip. We took a cab from downtown and it was ONE WAY.You should check out NOW what stores are at the outlets so that you know what brands are what you like. I am a HUGE Fossil fan (and have shopped that store there before), so between that, the Sketchers store and a few others, we might have broken even with cab fare.
I did get an Izod sweater for , my sketchers were buy one get one 1/2, there were lots of other shoe outlets, Nike, etc. I believe there is a Burlington's, Wilson's leather, Liz Claiborne, Children's Place, Gap and Baby Gap and Many Many more.I agree with the others about the fashion show mall, those kinds of places have only the top name brands...I'm talking 15 purses...every one of them different on one shelf all by itself. Nothing I feel comfortable shopping around.
As for souvenirs, there are lots of places to do that...I do a lot of comparison shopping...the bag I bought went from the 7.95 I paid for it to .95 elsewhere and everything in between. I found t-shirts for 5 for at the little stores...but, also found some great sales in the shops at the hotels...just check out the clearance racks. (and they were better shirts)

QUESTION:
Where is better to go shopping for brand name clothing; Las Vegas or Los Angeles?-
ANSWER:
Well if you have unlimited budget, then definitely LA. Go down to Rodeo drive and spend until you're poor. If you're talking about sales and what not, definitely Las Vegas. They have 3 separate outlets and tonnes of stores that carry brand name stuff. I usually hit up Nordstrom Rack, Saks at 5th, and they usually have 30-50% off stuff. Found a burberry pair of boots at Nordstrom rack.Anyways if you are heading down there, you can find some shopping coupons and vegas hotel deals at http://www.mycheapvegas.com

QUESTION:
What are some have-to-gos in Las Vegas?
I am going for New Years and I am soooooooo excited. I'm 14 years old, so what would be some excellent shopping that is absolutely fantastic??? like stores like urban outfitters and aritzia. Thanks so much!
-
ANSWER:
The Forum Shoppes...inside Caesar's Palace, is the best "experience" spot. Moving statues, possible celebrity sightings, etc.Fashion Show Mall on "The Strip" Is easy to find and get to...and I have friends at Diesel, etc...lol..if that's a brand you like.
Other shopping spots:
Premium Outlet Mall...near downtown 'Freemont Street' has the BIG brand names (Gucci, etc?)
Outlet Mall of America (name?)...just south of Mandalay Bay...more of a local spot...my fav. their is the 'Sean John' outlet!
Town Square...even closer to Mandalay Bay than the outlet mall spot...is an 'open air' shopping venue with great dining, yogurt shoppes and movie theatres...etc. Not an 'outlet' spot, but a great mix of shoppes including an Apple Store, Bebe, H&M, Armani Exchange, etc.

QUESTION:
Is the Outlet malls in Vegas worth it.?
I am staying on the strip and I know there is alot of stores right on the strip. I was wondering the prices at the outlet stores that great that it's worth leaving the strip for.-
ANSWER:
They probably aren't much different than the outlet stores you probably shop in at home. I have been to outlet stores in both California and the ones in Las Vegas. I can remember when they actually used to be outlet stores - selling discontinued, out of season and slightly imperfect items. Now, they are usually just another store with prices much like you would see at a mall, especially for the name brand items. There are some stores, however, that still follow the outlet theme and have good prices.
Any of the outlet malls in Las Vegas will be very crowded. If you want to stay indoors, visit the mall beyond the south end of the Strip (a couple miles past Mandalay Bay). There is another one located near Dowtown (Charleston at the I-15), but this one is outdoors. There is a third located all the way at Stateline, but I would only go there if you are driving to California. All three have pretty much the same selection of stores.

My 1st time to Los Angeles on a free and easy. A lot of Qs to ask , i need advise...?
i am planning for a trip for 2 (2 weeks) to LA this May/June . But 1st time, what hotels u recommend? i looking at something clean, safe , easy accessible and of cos cheap.(mayb US0 or less per night?) .. i dont know what is the range...
also, i like to rent a car to drive... which rental company is cheap and good?
and what places to visit dur my stay?
which part of LA should i stay? I keen to visit disneyland and universal studios..
i also planning to drive from LA to LV. Will the trip be long? And also, any good shopping malls to buy bargains stuff?thanks!
-
ANSWER:
Rental cars: The rental car business is highly competative so the rates are fairly equal from most companies. Budget, and Enterprise tend to have rates slightly lower than most. Don't buy the "Collesion Damage Waiver" insurance if your credit card offers this protection. If you are traveling alone I would suggest a compact or an intermediate size. The sub-compact is too small, and anything larger will be more expensive. Currently gasoline is roughly .50 per gallonShopping Malls: If you are looking for great bargains on quality merchandise may I suggest that you visit factory outlet stores. You said you are driving to Las Vegas, and you will pass by two outlets on the way. "Ontario Mills Outlets" is in the city of Ontario and it contains 173 different name brand factory outlet stores. "Barstow Factory Merchants Outlets" is in the city of Barstow (not quite half way to Las Vegas), and it contains 95 different stores. For more information about them do a web search of "Factory Outlet Stores in Southern California".
Las Vegas: Las Vegas is about 270 - 280 miles from Los Angeles. The highway you will use is Interstate 15, and parts of it are posted construction zones. In California traffic ticket fines are doubled in construction zones and can easily cost over 00. Don't speed in construction zones. Lodging is less expensive Monday - Thursday, food is cheaper at restaurants away from "the Strip". Once there you can probably figure out what you want to do, but if you want to attend a show is is best to make a reservation in advance. Welcome to Southern Cal., and enjoy your stay.

QUESTION:
Which Outlet Mall is better?...Cabazon or Camrillo?...or should i do both?
i'm gonna b in LA for the Summer and i want to know which 1 of these Malls r better...or r they both good?-
ANSWER:
Flip a coin. Both are operated by Premium Outlets. Both are equally good with an equal variety of name brand stores. The deciding factor may be how far you are willing to travel. They are roughly 150 miles apart. Camarillo is in Ventura county on the way to Santa Barbara, and Cabazon is in the desert on the way to Palm Springs. If you plan to stay West of Los Angeles, Camarillo would be closer, and staying to the East of L.A, Cabazon would be closer.Remember too that in the greater L.A. area there are outlet malls in Barstow on the way to Las Vegas, Ontario which we call the "Inland Empire", and Carlsbad on the way to San Diego. You can find ALL these malls websites online which will give directions, store hours, store directorys, etc. Happy Shopping!

QUESTION:
Where can I find deeply discounted fabrics: quality quilting, and juvenile cotton interlock online?
I'm looking for name brand quilt shop quality, possibly discontinued (whatever is least expensive) quality woven cottons and also baby/children's prints in cotton interlock. Is there an excellent, user-friendly online source for these, plus possibly trims? I was back East last summer and I found a great source, but it's not online. *sigh* Las Vegas has nothing that fits this category as far as I can tell. Thanks in advance! I sew baby quilts and fancy cloth baby diapers, but do *not* want to buy in bulk, as this is a one-person operation.
Also, I'd be happy for any other sewing ideas that are quick and easy but would bring top dollar on eBay/Etsy. And... what's a really easy way to set up one's own online store without breaking the bank? I appreciate your time and knowledge, and willingness to share them. One more thing... where/how can I find private individuals locally who can do some of the sewing/ cutting for me? I can't keep up with orders on my own. Thank you all! (Don't feel like your have to answer all questions... I am grateful for any help!
-
ANSWER:
Good brands internet outlet: I'd recommend looking at Thousands of Bolts:http://www.thousandsofbolts.com/
I send for fabrics from them even though I'm in the UK. As for private individuals to make up for you, why not try the local(ish) quilting groups. I'm sure there's a national quilting organisation that would have lists of groups. Or you could try advertising in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine (buy a copy and look a the sort of small ads they have in the back of the magazine).

QUESTION:
How would you rate The Paris hotel in Las Vegas?
I am going to be staying there next month and would like some opinions on the rooms (standard), the casino, the food, shops and how your experience was.-
ANSWER:
I stayed at the Paris last December and it was a very nice comfortable standard room that we had. It had a love seat as well as a writing table in the King room we had. The bathroom was large with a shower stall as well as a tub. The room had a huge flat panel HDTV. I liked the room and would stay there again. I did play in the casino some but you don't really worry about whether a casino is good because everyone always goes to all of the casinos on the strip near your hotel. Sometimes when i go I don't even play in the casino where I have my room.Food prices in Vegas are really high now; no more bargains on the buffets which are now generally . to for dinner. We ate in the Paris dinner buffet one night, at . a person, but I would not eat there again as its just too expensive for me. The food was great but I can eat cheaper than that, like at a food court somewhere.
The shops in Paris and most of the big hotels are top dollar name brand places where you will spend all of your money if you buy anything. But you can go to Fashion Show Mall up the Strip a ways (walking distance) if you want more regular stores. Or, you can take a taxi or the bus south on the Strip to the outlet mall which is just south of the airport on Las Vegas Blvd (the Strip). It has all of then usual outlet stores.

QUESTION:
Looking for cheap, but well made sneakers to workout in..?
I don't need to pay alot since i'm going to run them into the ground (literally)Anyone know the name/brand of a sneaker like this?
I wear a size 7.5 and it seems i can't find any in my size lately..
I usually won't pay more than for workout shoes, i normally get sketchers since they're very supportive (but also exp. sometimes)
ok since someone decided to be anal, i'll revise.. a "Cheaply Priced Sneaker" NOT cheaply made..-
ANSWER:
Well made shoes are really important for your joints, and in most cases you get what you pay for so be careful that being said i went to Las vegas a few months ago and when to the adidas outlet i found a great pair of running shoes that were supposose to be 60 dollars and were 27...they were great and great for my bank account too! I am sure there may be an outlet or a nike shop. This time of year running shoes are usually on sale because of highschool cross country teams starting up. I liked my Saucony shoes in high school. Also, maybe check on line. My mom gets her shoes online she went and tried them on at the store to find which ones felt good and gets a discount on line. Good luck
